Trump Renews Warning To Iran: Reach Deal Soon Or Face Energy Sector Attacks 30.03.2026

US President Donald Trump has issued a renewed ultimatum to Iran, demanding a swift resolution to the ongoing conflict and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz by April 6, or face severe US military action. Trump threatened to "completely obliterate" Iran's energy infrastructure, including power plants, oil wells, and Kharg Island, if a deal is not reached. This warning follows claims of direct and indirect talks with "reasonable" Iranian leaders and assertions that Tehran is partially opening the crucial waterway, through which approximately 20 percent of global oil and natural gas passes. Iran has rejected a US peace plan, deeming it "unrealistic, illogical, and excessive," while continuing to launch missiles and drones. The conflict, which began on February 28 with US and Israeli strikes, has led to Iran effectively closing the Strait of Hormuz, causing oil prices to surge by over 55 percent in March.
