Scorned ex-lover accuses Sinema of 'malicious' marriage interference 10h ago

Former Senator Kyrsten Sinema is being sued for $25,000 by Heather Ammel, the estranged wife of Sinema's former bodyguard, Matthew Ammel, for alleged "alienation of affection." The lawsuit, filed in North Carolina, claims Sinema engaged in a romantic and intimate relationship with Matthew Ammel, including sending suggestive messages via Signal and traveling together to events like a U2 concert in Las Vegas and a Taylor Swift concert in Miami in October 2024. Heather Ammel alleges Sinema's "intentional and malicious interference" destroyed her marriage, seeking damages under a 19th-century law recognized in six U.S. states. Sinema's legal team argues the case should be dismissed due to lack of jurisdiction, as the alleged intimate relationship occurred outside North Carolina.
