Woning in Noord gesloten om illegale prostitutie: "Constante aanloop van mannen" 01.04.2026

Amsterdam Mayor Halsema has ordered the closure of a residence at H. Cleyndertweg in Buikslotermeer for three months due to its use as an illegal prostitution establishment. The closure stems from persistent neighborhood complaints, beginning in late December, about a constant stream of unknown men visiting the property for short durations, often accompanied by loud disturbances, shouting, and arguments. A police search on February 3rd uncovered multiple rooms set up for unregistered sex work, with evidence including used condoms and sim cards linked to advertisements on Kinky.nl. Despite previous fines, the disturbances continued, prompting the mayor's decision to close the property to restore public order and peace to the affected area.
