The complete steel structure from China has arrived at the construction site of the new Sava Bridge in Belgrade, completing the delivery of approximately 6,000 tons of material. Site manager Ivan Nikolić confirmed that works in the Sava riverbed, including pillars and piles, are proceeding according to plan without interruption. Site clearing works are planned following the previous crane collapse, and new cranes and machinery are expected on July 20. From August, an acceleration of work on the steel structure is anticipated, which includes the joining of the 240-meter main span and the assembly of 36-meter-high arches. The project, which is part of the "Small Metro" initiative, envisions a bridge weighing 6,500 tons with two lanes and a tram track. This important infrastructure project is planned to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of March 2027.
