Gucci Mane kidnapped, robbed at gunpoint in Dallas, DOJ says 12h ago

Nine individuals, including rappers Pooh Shiesty and Big30, have been federally charged by the Department of Justice in connection with an alleged kidnapping and armed robbery that occurred on January 10 in Dallas, Texas. The targets included music industry figures, notably rapper Gucci Mane, whose real name is Radric Davis. Prosecutors state the group lured victims to a Dallas recording studio under the pretense of a business meeting to resolve a contract dispute. Instead, suspects allegedly ambushed the victims, with Pooh Shiesty, whose legal name is Lontrell Williams Jr., reportedly forcing Gucci Mane to sign contract release paperwork at gunpoint using an AK-style pistol. Other victims were robbed of valuables, including jewelry and a Rolex watch, by armed suspects. Eight of the nine defendants were arrested in Dallas and Memphis, and all face charges of kidnapping and conspiracy to commit kidnapping, with potential life sentences.
