A mild to moderate heatwave is currently affecting various regions of Bangladesh, including Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna divisions, and specific districts like Faridpur, Gopalganj, Manikganj, Narayanganj, Rangamati, Chandpur, Barishal, and Patuakhali, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). The dry weather conditions are expected to persist, with day and night temperatures likely to remain steady across the country. While most areas will experience dry weather with partly cloudy skies, there is a possibility of rain or thundershowers accompanied by gusty winds and lightning in one or two places over the Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. The highest temperature recorded yesterday was 39.7°C in Chuadanga.
