President Prabowo Subianto has strongly condemned the "heinous act" that resulted in the deaths of three Indonesian peacekeepers serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). The president expressed the nation's grief and solidarity with the families of Captain Zulmi Aditya Iskandar, First Sergeant Muhammad Nur Ichwan, and Private First Class Farizal Rhomadhon, who were on a mission to maintain peace. During a lying-in-state ceremony at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang, Banten, on April 4, 2026, President Prabowo paid his respects, personally offering condolences and ensuring the fallen soldiers would be honored with posthumous promotions and compensation. Indonesia has also called for a thorough investigation and an extraordinary UN Security Council meeting to address these attacks.
