Manipur CM Yumnam Khemchand Singh visits Senapati District after 3 years 13.04.2026

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh made a significant visit to Senapati District, his first in nearly three years, emphasizing inclusive development and peace. Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho and other MLAs, Singh attended a reception ceremony and met with civil society organizations, acknowledging their support in restoring normalcy after the state's conflict. He stressed the importance of balanced development across all districts, not just Imphal, to foster harmony and progress, referring to Manipur as "Mini India" due to its diverse communities. The Chief Minister also addressed local concerns, promising to discuss establishing a medical college, improve the sewerage system, and examine the relocation of the Senapati Police Station. Concurrently, the Army's GOC visited remote villages to engage with Tangkhul and Kuki communities, fostering mutual understanding and reaffirming the Army's commitment to safety and security.
