Kanye West postpones Marseille concert after French minister intervenes 15.04.2026

US rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, has postponed his scheduled June 11 concert in Marseille, France, following intervention from Interior Minister Laurent Nunez, who sought to block the performance due to the artist's antisemitic remarks. This decision follows a similar cancellation of his headline slot at London's Wireless Festival after Britain barred him from entering the country. Marseille's mayor, Benoit Payan, had previously expressed his opposition to West's visit, stating he would not allow the city to promote hatred. West, 48, took to social media platform X to announce the postponement until further notice, citing his commitment to making amends and not wanting to involve his fans in his personal issues, despite a history of controversial statements and actions, including a song titled "Heil Hitler" and advertising a swastika t-shirt.
