Chinese electric vehicle company Seres has patented a unique voice-activated in-car toilet designed to address users' needs during long journeys, camping, or living in vehicles. This innovative feature, concealed beneath a sliding car seat, can be activated manually or by saying "start up toilet function." The system includes a fan and exhaust pipe to manage odors and a tank for waste collection, with a heating element to evaporate urine and dry waste. This development reflects a broader trend in China's competitive EV market, where manufacturers are incorporating increasingly outlandish accessories like karaoke systems and massage seats to attract buyers. While Seres has not yet announced any production vehicles with this toilet feature, the patent highlights the company's efforts to innovate.
