Suspected bandits launched coordinated attacks late Wednesday night on three rural communities in Kwara State, specifically Iwo Odo-Ore in Isin Local Government Area, and Gaa-Idera and Gaa Dembo-Agunjin in Ifelodun Local Government Area. The assailants abducted a total of thirteen residents, including Alhaji Yusuf Yunusa, a school proprietor and politician, along with four Hausa residents in Iwo Odo-Ore. In Ifelodun, six people were taken from Gaa Dembo-Agunjin and two from Gaa-Idera, where the bride's mother and another individual were among those kidnapped. The attackers also injured at least two people and rustled cattle, intensifying fears over escalating insecurity in Kwara State, particularly in its southern region.
