Joe, however, asserts that this invitation is retaliation for his public condemnation of a controversial raid and alleged illegal arrests, vehicle seizures, and extortion by Delta State Command officers led by Deputy Commissioner Muyiwa Adejobi. He claims approximately 270 individuals were arrested during the two-day operation, which also involved raiding a restaurant and impounding vehicles, and he questions the legality of the arrests and subsequent lack of charges.
