Centrepoint to cut ties with Sharon Osbourne after she backs Tommy Robinson rally 17.04.2026

The homelessness charity Centrepoint is severing ties with celebrity Sharon Osbourne following her public declaration of support for a far-right rally organised by Tommy Robinson. Osbourne, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, commented on an Instagram post indicating her attendance at the "unite the kingdom" rally scheduled for May 16th in London. Centrepoint, an organisation with Prince Charles as patron, stated that such events are incompatible with their values, which champion inclusivity and support for young people from all backgrounds. While acknowledging Osbourne's past involvement in their Omaze campaign, the charity clarified that she was not an ongoing ambassador and they have no future collaboration plans. This marks a notable instance of a charity distancing itself from a public figure over extremist political affiliations.
