These 23 signs are intended to inform cyclists that their bikes will be removed in preparation for the May 5th concert held near the bridge, a requirement for advance notification by the municipality. However, passersby and even local political leader Rogier Havelaars of the CDA fraction criticize the excessive number and placement of the signs, suggesting that fewer, more subtly positioned signs would suffice and improve the visual appeal of the iconic "skinny bridge."
