Ahead of the Tamil Nadu polls on April 23, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin unveiled a Chennai-specific "Super Six" development package, distinct from the DMK's main manifesto. This initiative, focusing on the capital, aims to bolster urban infrastructure, enhance mobility, and create future employment opportunities. Key proposals include providing RO drinking water to areas lacking metro water access, establishing a world-class cultural center, and deploying 1,000 minibuses for improved last-mile connectivity. The plan also commits to completing the Chennai Metro Rail expansion by 2028 and investing ₹10,000 crore in a dedicated hub for Artificial Intelligence and related advanced technologies, with a vision for a "Global Talent Gateway."
