Syrian security forces conducted two raids in the Dweir Baabda village, located in Latakia's Jableh countryside, resulting in the arrest of several suspected war criminals. During these operations, Yaman Shahin was killed while resisting arrest, and a special forces member succumbed to injuries sustained. Yusuf Al Hassan, a former Latakia field operations commander, was apprehended for allegedly suppressing peaceful protests. Additionally, Ghaith Shahin and Nizar Shahin were detained for alleged war crimes, which include involvement in the Qusair shelling, the destruction of Palmyra, and acts of rape against civilians.
