LGBTQ voters hope to knock out vulnerable Republicans and boost Democrats to victory with a pink wave in November 17h ago

The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is launching a $15 million investment to mobilize LGBTQ voters and allies in key swing districts and Senate races for the 2026 elections. The initiative targets eight House districts that were decided by a narrow margin of 157,000 votes in 2024, aiming to leverage the estimated 1.5 million "Equality Voters" in those areas to help Democrats retake the House. The HRC's strategy also includes supporting pro-equality candidates in Senate races, such as in Ohio and Georgia, and combating ballot initiatives that could curtail LGBTQ rights. This significant financial commitment underscores the LGBTQ community's motivation to influence electoral outcomes and counter what they perceive as an environment of hate and discrimination.
