Capital One $425M settlement approved. See if you qualify 23.04.2026

A U.S. District Court judge has granted final approval for a $425 million class action settlement against Capital One, resolving allegations that the company deceptively marketed its 360 Savings and 360 Performance Savings accounts. The lawsuit claimed Capital One paid a lower interest rate on 360 Savings accounts compared to the identical 360 Performance Savings accounts, particularly since 2019, thereby deceiving customers. While Capital One denied all claims and allegations of wrongdoing, both parties agreed to the settlement to avoid a trial. The court initially rejected a prior settlement offer in late 2025, but a renegotiated agreement received approval on April 20. Eligible account holders, who maintained a 360 Savings account between September 18, 2019, and June 16, 2025, will receive automatic payments around July 21, calculated based on potential lost interest.
