Between January and June 2025, 754 thousand new cars were sold in Mexico, overcoming tariff fluctuations and demonstrating the strength of the domestic market. This growth is largely due to the expansion of Chinese brands, which continue to gain ground in the country. For example, Geely experienced an annual growth of approximately 250% in the first half of the year, while MG recorded an increase of 19.6%. This phenomenon occurs amidst trade negotiations involving China, adding a layer of complexity to the automotive landscape.
