ISCM World New Music Days Festival 2026 to take place in Bucharest in May 04.05.2026

The International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) World New Music Days Festival, themed “The Endless Column,” is scheduled to take place in Bucharest, Romania, from May 23 to 31, 2026. Returning to the country after 27 years, the event honors the 150th anniversary of sculptor Constantin Brâncuși. Organized by the Union of Composers and Musicologists of Romania in partnership with ARTEXIM, the festival features 22 chamber and electronic concerts across eight prominent Bucharest venues and Mogoșoaia Palace. The program includes 70 international works and 25 Romanian compositions, performed by renowned conductors, orchestras, and soloists. Additionally, the festival will host over 50 official delegates and composers, showcasing world premieres by award-winning young composers Madli Marje Gildemann Sin and Samuel Hvozdík.
