At the University of KwaZulu-Natal's May 6 graduation ceremony, Thembisani Mntungwa, who earned a Bachelor of Social Science in criminology and forensic studies, delivered an emotional tribute to his late mother, Nondumiso Mntungwa. Carrying a T-shirt bearing his mother's picture, Mntungwa expressed that the achievement was as much hers as it was his, highlighting her role as his "biggest supporter" and friend. His mother, who passed away in March, had worked as a domestic worker and street vendor to support him and his three siblings, consistently encouraging his academic pursuits. Mntungwa, who is now pursuing an Honours degree at UKZN, is seeking financial assistance for tuition and accommodation.
