Pandan MP Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli and Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad have submitted their resignation letters to the Dewan Rakyat Speaker, Tan Sri Johari Abdul, to vacate their seats. They stated this decision is to pursue a "new political agenda" and return the mandate to the voters of Pandan and Setiawangsa, as they were elected under the Pakatan Harapan ticket in the last general election. The two MPs, who have served two terms, expressed gratitude to their constituents. Their service centers will continue operations. They also announced their intention to contest again in their respective constituencies under the Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) platform in the upcoming election. The Speaker had not yet received formal notification of the seat vacancies at the time of reporting.
