The union also advocates for the reintroduction of the energy tax credit and compensatory measures for rising fuel prices, such as expanded work-from-home options. In response to the housing crisis exacerbated by energy costs, the CGFP proposes doubling the VAT reimbursement maximum for housing to €100,000 and removing the age limit for tax-deductible home savings contributions. Furthermore, the CGFP is staunchly opposing the privatization of public services, successfully influencing the government to limit private-law contracts within public institutions like the Luxembourg Agency for Medicines and Health Products (ALMPS) and the Luxembourg Space Agency, ensuring public-law status remains the norm.
