Governor Caleb Mutfwang has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Plateau State governorship election, defeating his opponent, Commander Chief John Peter (Rtd.), with 233,335 votes to 3,070. The election, held in Jos, saw a significant turnout of party members despite adverse weather. In Adamawa State, Tijjani Galadima emerged as the APC's gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 general elections. The primaries in both states concluded with declarations by the respective APC national elections committees.
