Parti Bersama Malaysia (Bersama) has revealed a detailed breakdown of its first 20,000 members, with former Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad stating that 46% of these individuals were first-time political party members. This indicates a significant segment of voters seeking alternatives outside established parties. The membership also includes 29% former PKR members, 6.3% from Umno, 5.2% from PAS, and smaller percentages from Amanah, Bersatu, Muda, and DAP. Overall, 15% of Bersama's membership originates from the four main Malay-majority parties. The party's ethnic composition is 62% Malay, 16% Indian, and 15% Chinese. Nik Nazmi also indicated that sitting lawmakers from both government and opposition parties have expressed interest in joining Bersama.
