Tip Toe's creator Russell T Davies: 'I wish television could change the world' 30.05.2026

Russell T. Davies' upcoming BBC thriller, "Tip Toe," delves into the escalating feud between two neighbors, one gay and one straight, as one becomes entangled in online disinformation with dire consequences. Filmed on a set designed to resemble a Manchester terraced house, the series stars Alan Cumming as Leo Struthers, a deceased bar owner whose death is a central mystery, and David Morrissey as his neighbor Clive Goss. Davies expresses concern about the current state of the world and a personal wish for television to enact change, citing the positive impact of his past work like "It's a Sin" on HIV testing. Despite the show's serious themes, it maintains Davies' signature blend of humor, and he plans to continue writing as long as societal changes provide new material. Episodes 1 and 2 premiere on Channel 4 on May 31st and June 1st.
