Ethiopia's Homegrown Economic Reform program, initiated in 2019, has led to significant increases in export revenues, now nearing $10 billion USD, and substantial growth in import-substitute goods. Further economic potential lies in electricity exports from projects like the GERD, and advancements in aviation and infrastructure, including major airport development and a profitable Ethiopian Airlines.
