Josef Grech, a 26-year-old man from Bormla, has been remanded in custody after appearing in court on Tuesday to face charges related to domestic violence and breaching conditions of a separate pending case. The allegations stem from an incident in Marsaskala, where police responded to a disturbance. Grech was accused of grabbing his partner by the neck, and officers noted visible blood on his face upon arrival. While the alleged victim initially stated she did not wish to file a report, she later reportedly informed the Domestic Violence Unit that an argument escalated to physical violence and property damage. Magistrate Ingrid Bianco denied Grech's bail request.
