Ipoh cops track trio wanted for machete robbery in Perak and Penang 04.06.2026

Ipoh police are searching for three local men suspected of a machete-wielding robbery at a grocery store in Taman Klebang Ria, Chemor, last Sunday. The suspects, armed with machetes, stole cash and items from a woman in her 20s, who was unharmed. This incident is being investigated under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code. Authorities believe these same individuals are also responsible for a similar armed robbery at a convenience store in Nibong Tebal, Penang, which occurred on the same Sunday. In the Penang incident, a 27-year-old man was injured with a machete and the robbers escaped with cash, cigarettes, and a sling bag, totaling an estimated RM500 in losses.
