Cuenco. During this session, new committee chairpersons were appointed, including Senator Erwin Tulfo heading the Blue Ribbon Committee, replacing Pia Cayetano. Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, however, maintains he is the legitimate Senate President. The situation has led to a political division, with Cayetano's bloc proceeding with a hearing that the Gatchalian bloc dismissed as invalid.
