Vietnamese Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng and Chinese Premier Li Qiang held phone talks on Monday, emphasizing Việt Nam's consistent policy of prioritizing ties with China as a strategic choice. The leaders expressed pleasure in the positive progress of bilateral relations, particularly in implementing joint action plans and realizing high-level agreements from recent state visits. They agreed to maintain regular exchanges and coordinate to further concretize these outcomes. Key proposals for future cooperation include strengthening strategic trust, enhancing infrastructure and transport connectivity with a focus on railways, advancing balanced trade, and operationalizing smart border gates. Both sides also aim to expand collaboration in science, technology, education, tourism, and local-level exchanges.
