Azerbaijan implements SGG approach through comprehensive state policy system - official 16.06.2026

During the 8th SDG Dialogue held in Baku as part of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Annual Meeting on June 16, Huseyn Huseynov, Advisor to the Minister of Economy, detailed Azerbaijan's integrated state policy for sustainable development. Huseynov explained that the nation aligns its national priorities with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a strategic planning system. This vision focuses on five core pillars: diversified economic growth, a socially just society, competitive human capital, the economic reintegration of liberated territories, and green growth. Furthermore, Huseynov highlighted Azerbaijan's role as the host of COP29, emphasizing the country's commitment to advancing international dialogue on climate finance. He noted that COP29 agreements to mobilize climate finance for developing nations represent a critical advancement in the global support system for sustainable development.
