Trebinje is on the verge of a major urban leap forward – a completely new urban area called "Novo Trebinje" is being developed on a surface of 380 hectares. This represents the largest planned expansion of the city in recent decades, which will include residential buildings, family houses, schools, kindergartens, a health center, a pharmacy, commercial facilities, parks, pedestrian and bicycle paths, as well as a new bridge over the Trebišnjica River that will connect the new settlement with the rest of the city.
