The A4 highway will be largely closed between Badhoevedorp and De Nieuwe Meer in the direction of Amsterdam on consecutive weekends due to the Zuidasdok project. The first closure is from Friday, February 20th at 22:00 to Monday, February 23rd at 05:00, with a second closure the following weekend from Friday, February 20th at 20:00 to Monday, February 23rd at 05:00. During these periods, traffic from Schiphol and the A9 from Amstelveen will be unable to use the A4 towards the A10 Zuid. Zuidasdok will be conducting lifting operations for a new bridge over the Schinkel, necessitating the closure of the A10 Zuid towards the city, potentially causing delays of up to an hour. The Zuidasdok project, a multi-billion euro undertaking, aims to improve accessibility to Amsterdam and the northern Randstad by 2036, involving widening and tunneling the A10 Zuid and renovating Station Zuid.
