A suspected Belarusian spy, identified as 27-year-old Pawlow T., was arrested in Poland on February 9th and is believed to have also spied in Germany and Lithuania. The Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW) suspects the individual worked for the Belarusian military intelligence and was gathering information on critical infrastructure and key defense sites within Poland and the NATO alliance. Joint investigations involving Polish, German, and Lithuanian intelligence agencies are ongoing, focusing on alleged espionage activities between June 2024 and February 2026. The suspect has been remanded in custody for three months, facing a potential prison sentence of at least five years if convicted. This arrest follows numerous accusations by Poland of sabotage and espionage attempts by Russia and Belarus since the start of the Ukraine war.
