Landsvirkjun has entered into agreements with two contractors in connection with the expansion of the Sigöldustöð power station in the Þjórsá area. The first is the Icelandic company Ístak, which will handle the construction of the main structures for the expansion, and the second is the German company DSD Noell GmbH, which is responsible for the trash racks, gates, and penstock. Ístak's contract amounts to nearly 7.5 billion ISK and DSD Noell's contract to nearly 2 billion ISK; all amounts are excluding VAT.
