Alberta separatist leader and lawyer Jeffrey Rath is facing a nearly $109 million debt claim from U.S. litigation funder Diriba Investments LLC, which alleges his firm, RathPC, defaulted on a financing agreement. The Delaware-based company claims Rath breached the 2018 deal by failing to submit monthly reports, disclose material case developments, and make required payments. Diriba has served RathPC with a notice of intention to enforce security under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act, describing the firm as an "insolvent person."
