Alex Borg submits declaration of interest to contest party’s leadership 25.06.2026

The Nationalist Party's Electoral, Records and Data Commission announced on Thursday that Alex Borg has submitted his declaration of interest to contest the party's leadership. Borg's submission, received at noon on 25 June, makes him the first candidate to formally enter the race following the General Council's official opening of the leadership election on Wednesday. The commission reminded party members that expressions of interest will remain open for a seven-day period until 6pm on 1 July 2026, as specified in Article 90a of the PN statute.
