The Algiers Metro Operating Company (SEMA) officially announced this Monday a significant modification to its services for the summer period. In order to respond to the significant increase in travel during the summer, the company has decided to extend the operating hours of its lines until 11:00 PM. This measure applies daily, throughout the week, to offer increased flexibility to users in the capital. According to the SEMA communiqué, this initiative primarily aims to improve travel conditions for passengers and to ensure an efficient public service adapted to seasonal needs. This strategic decision helps to decongest the network during summer peak hours while guaranteeing fluid mobility for Algerian citizens who use this essential mode of transport for their daily commutes or leisure activities.
