As global conflicts surge, nearing 60 active worldwide in the past year which resulted in a 30-year high in war-related deaths and over 120 million displaced people, Al Jazeera English is launching the fifth season of its series "All Hail," presented by journalist Ali Rae. This season, titled "All Hail the Military," moves beyond defining militarism to explore the systemic reasons for its persistence. The series aims to expose the underlying systems that fuel militarism, the complicity it relies on, and the silences that allow it to continue, focusing on recurring roles within conflicts and examining who profits, judges, fights, suffers, and observes.
