Amarjit hints at strain in YSD-MNCF relationship 25.06.2026

Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) president Datuk Amarjit Singh Gill has indicated that unresolved issues with Sime Darby Foundation (YSD) led to the postponement of the YSD Track and BMX Series, a joint development programme involving YSD, MNCF, the National Sports Council, and SportExcel. Amarjit stressed that the matter is unrelated to national coach John Beasley's future or succession planning, calling them "North Pole, South Pole" issues. YSD confirmed the postponement citing technical reasons, but Amarjit revealed that no direct calls were made between the organizations. Instead, several letters have been exchanged between YSD management and MNCF, with Amarjit stating that YSD has not adequately answered MNCF's queries or attempted to resolve the matter.
