Ambulance for Monuments sets out to safeguard 17 historic monuments this year 02.03.2026

The Ambulance for Monuments project has launched its new intervention calendar for 2024, aiming to safeguard 17 historical monuments across Romania. This year's campaign will span diverse regions including South Transylvania, Banat, and North Moldavia, addressing a variety of structures such as manor houses, bridges, railway stations, schools, churches, and a public bath. Representatives highlighted the varied challenges and unique stories each site presents. Individuals interested in volunteering can register online until March 30, 2026, though the work is physically demanding and requires a medical certificate for working at height. Financial support is also welcomed through online donations or SMS. Notable restoration projects include the former Andrei Saguna Pedagogical High School in Sibiu and the Dietrich-Schulkovschy Castle in Pancota.
