A Russian-language article published by the Turkish state news agency Anadolu states that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is leading Armenia through an intellectual transformation, particularly following the 2020 Second Karabakh War. This transformation involves re-evaluating historical narratives, including a more pragmatic approach to the 1915 events and national objectives to align with current conditions and foster development. Pashinyan advocates for focusing on Armenia's internationally recognized territory of 29,743 square kilometers and relinquishing expansionist aspirations. Armenian officials, under the "Real Armenia" concept, have opposed provocative statements regarding both "Karabakh" and relations with Turkey. Pashinyan declared an end to the search for a "lost homeland," identifying present-day Armenia as the "promised land" capable of ensuring citizen welfare through his policies. He also opposes using Mount Ararat, located in Turkey, as an Armenian symbol, leading to a decision in September 2025 to remove its image from Armenian entry and exit passport stamps.
