A major agreement was concluded between France and Ukraine this Monday, July 13, providing for Kyiv's acquisition of 16 Rafale fighter jets and their armaments. Emmanuel Macron announced that the first aircraft should be flying as early as 2028-2029, materializing a declaration of intent signed in November. The agreement also includes the supply of radars and the licensed production in Ukraine of AASM bombs, Aster 30 anti-aircraft missiles, and Scalp cruise missiles. To strengthen its air defense, Kyiv will also acquire new-generation SAMP/T batteries.
