ANC ices Sisisi Tolashe — but remains silent on second minister in SUV scandal 14h ago

The ANC Women’s League (ANCWL) has placed its president, Sisisi Tolashe, on special leave and initiated disciplinary proceedings against her following her dismissal as minister of social development. This decision, unanimously approved by the ANCWL's National Executive Committee (NEC) on Saturday, stems from findings by the ANC's Integrity Commission. However, the party remains silent on the fate of another prominent ANCWL figure, Minister of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Maropene Ramokgopa, who is also implicated in the same Chinese SUV scandal. Ramokgopa is accused of accepting three BAIC X55 SUVs, with one registered to her son and another seen with an associate's family. Unlike Tolashe, Ramokgopa retains her ministerial and ANC positions.
