Reichstadter had ascended the 51-meter-high bridge, which spans the Anacostia River, to display a large black banner highlighting concerns about war in Iran and the risks associated with artificial intelligence. Upon safely descending, Reichstadter, who appeared to be in good health, anticipated a significant jail term.
