Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim stated that the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) is progressing as planned, emphasizing close cooperation between the federal and state governments. Speaking to reporters after Friday prayers at Masjid As-Sodiqin in Taman Kobena, Kuala Lumpur, Anwar clarified that the project is a federal initiative, naturally involving collaboration with the Johor state government. He noted that any announcements or signings will be handled directly between the Prime Minister of Malaysia and the Prime Minister of Singapore, underscoring the high-level diplomatic nature of the agreement.
