APC Backs INEC’s Action Against David Mark, Aregbesola, Calls ADC ‘Desperate, Power-Hungry’ 9h ago

Nigeria's ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly criticized the opposition African Democratic Congress (ADC), labeling it a "kamikaze contraption" destined for collapse due to its inherent structural weaknesses. Issued on April 2, 2026, by National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka, the APC's statement accused the ADC of being an "assembly of the most confused, desperate and power-hungry politicians" responsible for its own internal chaos. The APC defended the Independent National Electoral Commission's (INEC) decision to derecognize the David Mark-led faction, asserting it was a valid outcome of the ADC's alleged hijacking by Mark and Rauf Aregbesola, violating the party's constitution. The ruling party dismissed ADC's claims of APC involvement as "escapist and irresponsible," arguing that a party incapable of self-governance cannot lead the nation.
