TikTok has formally offered termination agreements to around 300 staff in Ireland after a consultation process, with layoffs expected to conclude by the end of this month. The affected employees primarily work in trust and safety roles. The agreements provide additional redundancy pay but require workers to waive rights to file complaints with the Irish Data Protection Commission or make GDPR data access requests related to their termination. Some extensions have been granted for visa holders whose immigration status depends on their employment.
