États-Unis : des associations poursuivent l’administration Trump après l’abrogation d’un texte clé sur le climatle 18 février 2026 18.02.2026

On February 18, 2026, over fifteen environmental and health associations, including the Center for Biological Diversity, American Lung Association, Clean Air Council, and Sierra Club, filed a lawsuit in Washington D.C. against the Trump administration. The coalition alleges that the administration illegally repealed a key climate regulation, the "Endangerment finding," which had established six greenhouse gases as dangerous to public health and served as the basis for numerous regulations limiting emissions, particularly from vehicles. The associations contend this move, aimed at benefiting oil companies, undermines the future of children and is contrary to scientific evidence and public interest, potentially leading to the cancellation of other environmental rules. The EPA, however, maintains its actions are lawful and based on a careful re-evaluation of the legal foundation.
